About us.
My name is Jos ten Have, I am married to Marianne and we have two sons.
In my daily work i am head of the kitchen in a nursing home.
At my parents, we always had dogs, and my father had also shepherd dogs.
He did nothing wit hit, but the love for the breed is imparted to us from an early age.
When I, at the age of 18, bought my first German shepherd dog I am instantly entered training with it.
It soon became apperent that this dog was not fit for the sport.
Also my second German shepherd dog didn’t have the qualities I wanted.
Now I learned Gerard Besselink common, he bred then under the name “Doornerbult”.
His bitch “Gundy van de Doornerbult” VH 3, SpH, KKL appealed to me very much.
This bitch I literally got to know as a puppy and saw her growing up.
I regularly stood in a “suit”, also for this bitch.
When Gerard indicated that he wanted his last litter breeding I decided to buy a puppy from this great bitch.
That was ” Il-Joery van de Doornebult”. She became the ancestress of our kennel.
With Joery I’ve had great results.
The crowning glory of the work was “the Individual” 1988 in Nijmegen.
The results were: A 93-B94-C95-=282 Very Good.
Joery was in social fields an excellent dog , she stood her ground when she had to, day and night.
When Joery continued to perform weil there was interest in her offspring.
At that time we started in 1986 our kennel “van de Moezenbulte”.
De Moezenbulte is a nickname in the village Harreveld, each family did have a nickname,
because many names are frequent in De Achterhoek.
The name “De Moezenbulte”comes from my grandpa’s farm, this farm is to his day still operational.
In Harreveld, where I grew up, are a lot of families with the lastname Ten Have.
If somebody in de village Harreveld asked wich Ten Have, people said: “from De Moezenbulte”.
Our target is to breed a healty German shepherd dog, which can be used as intended.
After all German shepherd dogs are ideal for use as working dogs, in the broadest sense of the word.
Also we want to preserve the original colors with the associated working lines.
We gladly support the slogan “German shepherd dog breeding is users dogs breeding”.
